Introducing BaseLight

This week things are getting really exciting with the introduction of a brand new BioGlo accessory! Whether you're looking for a way to change the dinos' circadian rhythm or just want to make sure they are getting the optimal amount of light each day, the new BaseLight is the way to go.

BaseLight is specially designed to help you care for your BioGlo aquarium by providing optimal environmental conditions. Key features include:

• A High power LED light provides the frequency and intensity of light your dinos love, right out of the box;
• Timer control settings enable scheduling of 12-hr lighting cycles at any time of day so you can alter your dinos' circadian rhythm effortlessly;
• Ambient temperature sensing monitors your thermal conditions so you don't have to. If something doesn't seem right, BaseLight will subtly let you know;
• A USB connection facilitates simple and easy recharging when your batteries are depleted.

The BaseLight accessory is available now as part of 4 new reward tiers! Note that the Science Explorer tiers will feature a variant of the BaseLight that enables additional experimentation. As the design of the accessory matures we will release details on the campaign page, but you are of course free to switch your pledge to a new reward tier at any time if you would like to receive this accessory.

** Note to Early Bird Backers: We will also offer BaseLight as an accessory add-on after the campaign so you won't risk losing your Early Bird discount. Be sure to send us a message if you have any questions!

New Stretch Goal

To make BaseLight happen we are announcing a new stretch goal of $50,000 to help us pay for additional tooling and the development costs associated with the BaseLight.

Hey Everyone!

We are totally overwhelmed by the show of support in the last 48 hours. It was a great surprise for us, and thanks to you we can now bring BioGlo to life!

As you may have noticed, we are a small team at Magical Microbes and we've been developing this company brick-by-brick over the last few years. From making our first products by hand in Keegan's apartment, to now having manufacturing and distribution partners around the globe, the company is truly a labor of love. So, we thank you again for making this all possible.

What many of you may not know is that we developed BioGlo together even though we do not share an office. While Keegan is based in California, Kevin is currently based in the Netherlands. So, here's a snapshot of our worldwide celebration when we learned that BioGlo was officially funded!

Announcement

Since it's Thanksgiving weekend in the U.S., we would like to wish you all a wonderful, relaxing time with friends and family (even if you're not celebrating Thanksgiving). Alternatively, if you're looking for an excuse to take a break from family we have just the thing: Stretch Goals!

Wow, what a great first day! 

While we catch our breath a bit we just want to send a quick update to thank everyone for supporting, sharing, tweeting, and posting. Keep it up! It really makes all the difference and we can't thank you enough!
